Earlier sunsets make viewing the evening sky & longer nights mean we get to see Scorpio descending as we move through Autumn and watch the rising of Aries in the morning sky in anticipation of the winter solstice and Matariki in June.

Our ancestors knew this was the time to prepare for the cold months ahead and stock up with provisions, today we turn on the heat pump and order Dominos delivered. Much of our lives are now disconnected from the move of the stars &connecting with nature, however at Tiki Beach we can take you back to enjoy the wonder sky both the practical and spiritual night sky, guided by our local Maori Astronomer.
